Walmgate Day Nursery is currently looking for warm, enthusiastic Assistant Practitioners to join our friendly team in the heart of York. 🧡
We are a small, privately run children’s nursery with a strong sense of community and a real passion for giving every child the best possible start in life. 🌱 If you enjoy working with young children and supporting their development through fun, engaging activities, we’d love to hear from you! 😊
👶 What the Role Involves:
This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you’ll play a key part in helping children learn, grow and thrive. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting children’s development through play-based learning
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and caring environment
- Following safeguarding procedures and promoting children’s welfare
- Working closely with a small, supportive team
- Building positive relationships with children and their families
💡 What We’re Looking For:
- Experience working with young children (nursery or early years setting preferred)
- A genuine passion for early childhood development
- A positive, friendly, and team-focused attitude
- Basic awareness of safeguarding and the EYFS (training can be provided)
