Walmgate Day Nursery is currently looking for a warm, enthusiastic Level 2 (or above) Qualified Early Years Practitioner to join our lovely team in the heart of York. 🧡
We are a small, privately run children’s nursery with a strong sense of community and a real passion for giving every child the best possible start in life. 🌱 If you’re experienced in working with young children and love supporting their development through fun, engaging activities, we’d love to hear from you! 😊
👶 What the Role Involves:
This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you’ll support children’s learning and development as part of a close-knit team. Your day-to-day tasks will include:
- Supporting children’s development through planned play and activities
- Helping to create a safe, stimulating, and caring environment
- Following safeguarding procedures and promoting children’s welfare
- Working closely with a small, supportive team
- Engaging positively with children and families
💡 What We’re Looking For:
- Full and relevant minimum Level 2 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting
- A genuine passion for early childhood development
- A positive, friendly, and team-focused attitude
- Awareness of safeguarding and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is beneficial
